Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK) is pleased to welcome back Tammy Simpkins, APRN to CMC/DHK's Department of Cardiology. Tammy had worked in the Intensive Care Unit at CMC/DHK for several years before accepting a position at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in the Cardiology Department.

Tammy completed the Adult, Acute and Gerontology Nurse Practitioner curriculum and holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Excelsior College in Albany, New York. Tammy worked previously at Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Lebanon, New Hampshire as a Cardiology Inpatient nurse practitioner.

The mission of Cardiology Services is to positively impact the health and well-being of our community by developing and providing a regional program of comprehensive, integrated services focused on the diagnosis and treatment of heart disease and cardiac rehabilitation. The Cardiology providers and staff emphasize care related to prevention and promotion through the empowerment of the patient by increasing awareness and personal commitment, treatment of acute short term problems, with the goal to improve the cardiac condition and maximizing the well-being of patients with chronic heart disease to achieve optimal quality of life.
