New Family Medicine Department Walk-In Clinic Pilot Program Starting 1/6

December 24, 2013
Keene, NH

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene's Family Medicine Department is pleased to announce a new Walk-In Clinic pilot program.

Beginning, Monday, January 6 from 8:30 – 11 am, patients are invited to register as a 'Family Medicine Walk-In Visit' in the lobby at our Court Street campus and visit the walk-in clinic within Family Medicine Team F on Floor 1A without a scheduled appointment. The Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic will serve patients on a first come, first serve basis and welcomes the opportunity to provide care for individuals with new and non-severe symptoms, such as: common cough or cold, vomiting or diarrhea, rash, ear pain, minor injury, sore throat or fever. This service will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 – 11 am throughout the winter and spring of 2014 and may change in the future based on determined need. Due to the flexible and open schedule of the Family Medicine Walk-In Clinic, wait times will vary based on the number of patients needing to be seen on a given morning.

It is important to note that not all visits are appropriate for the walk-in schedule. Patients are encouraged to schedule an appointment if they have ongoing or new symptoms, such as: headache, abdominal pain, fainting, breathing issues, anxiety or depression, an open wound, or if the individual has special health care needs. In the case of a medical emergency, please visit your nearest emergency care center.
