Yvonne Goldsberry, PhD, Appointed to Commission on Medicaid Care Management by Governor Hassan

Yvonne Goldsberry, PhD, Vice-President of Population Health and Clinical Integration at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene has been appointed to a new Commission on Medicaid Care Management by Governor Maggie Hassan. The Governor's commission brings together members of the public representing a broad range of experience in health care issues to review and advise on the implementation of an efficient, fair and high-quality Medicaid care management system. Members with expertise in managed care and payment reform models of care, Medicaid public policy, elderly affairs, children's health, public health, mental health, developmental disabilities and adult health care services will participate and ensure that providers and patients are protected as New Hampshire moves to a managed care model for the state's Medicaid program.

This is an important issue for the State and I look forward to helping move Medicaid Care Management forward on behalf of the patients and residents in our communities", shares Yvonne Goldsberry, PhD.

Dr. Goldsberry is responsible for oversight of the Department of Community Health, Department of Quality Improvement and the Pharmacy. She moves forward our mission and vision by directing and implementing the Population Health approach to patient care with a focus on prevention and wellness. She works with state and local community organizations to design and implement collaborative community health improvement initiatives. She previously served as Administrator of the Community Public Health Development Unit for the State of New Hampshire, Division of Public Health Services. With an extensive background in community health planning, she helped guide the development of the New Hampshire Public Health Network. Dr. Goldsberry is a graduate of Brown University and received her Masters' degrees in public health and urban planning from Columbia University and PhD in Public Policy from George Washington University.
