Hamshaw Lumber Company held its 32nd Annual Golf Classic in October and donated proceeds exceeding $4350 to the Dartmouth Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center Kingsbury Pavilion at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene. Touched by the stories of cancer patients with need, this is the third year Hamshaw Lumber directed the proceeds of their golf tournament to the Kingsbury Pavilion Patient Relief Fund.

The Cancer Patient Relief Fund provides financial support for the day-to-day expenses for individuals undergoing cancer treatment at the Kingsbury Pavilion. With the increase in gas prices, the money raised through the Golf Classic will help with the purchase of gas cards to assist patients in need with their travel to and from treatment appointments.

The Norris Cotton Dartmouth Hitchcock Cancer Center Kingsbury Pavilion at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene located at 580 Court Street provides comprehensive cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery services to the residents of southwestern New Hampshire, as well as to the neighboring communities in northern Massachusetts and southeastern Vermont. While offering personalized cancer care close to home, Keene's Kingsbury Pavilion provides patients an opportunity to participate in clinical trials and access to the research knowledge and clinical expertise of the Norris Cotton Cancer Center in Lebanon, a National Cancer Institute Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The Cheshire Health Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization supporting Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene, our community's nonprofit hospital and clinic. For more information contact Cindy Rodenhauser Stewart, Director of Development at (603) 354-6810 or
