Wheelchair Basketball Clinic October 10th

The Farnum Rehabilitation Center at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK), in conjunction with the Vision 2020 initiative, is offering a free wheelchair basketball clinic. All are welcome to participate in this free event Wednesday, October 10, 2012 from 4:00-5:00 PM at the Keene Recreation Center, 312 Washington Street, Keene, NH.

Event organizer Ellen Levasseur, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, says the learning event is being held for people of all levels of mobility and is meant to "... help people with disabilities learn to enhance the quality of their lives through sports."  She notes those without disabilities are encouraged to participate as well.

Wheelchair basketball clinic instructor, Tony Lane, will lead the group. Tony plays wheelchair basketball on the Canadian New Brunswick All Courts and has played in the National Canadian Basketball Wheelchair League.
