Ilona Belinskaya, MD, Joins CMC/DHK in Pulmonary Medicine

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK) is pleased to announce that Ilona Belinskaya, MD recently joined our Department of Pulmonary Medicine. Dr. Belinskaya worked as a locum (temporary) physician on staff from October 2011 and has recently signed on as a full hire. Prior to moving to Keene, she worked as a Hospitalist at Catskill Regional Medical Center, Harris, NY. At the same time, Dr. Belinskaya also worked part time as a Pulmonologist in a private clinic in Brooklyn, NY.

As a Pulmonologist, Dr. Belinskaya diagnoses and treats diseases and conditions of the chest and lungs such as pneumonia, asthma, tuberculosis, emphysema, and other chest and lung infections. She also treats interstitial lung disease and respiratory disease in patients whose immune systems are compromised, and patients with bronchiectasis, a less common condition in which the lungs' airways are abnormally stretched and widened, often caused by mucus blockage. Dr. Belinskaya completed a Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York, NY as well as a Research Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care at the same institution. She served her Residency in Internal Medicine at New York Methodist Hospital, Brooklyn, NY and earned her Doctor of Medicine at St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Belinskaya also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY. She has conducted considerable research in her field and presented her findings to peers in the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Thoracic Society. Professional memberships include the American College of Chest Physicians, the American Thoracic Society and the New York Society for Thoracic Surgery.
