Cheshire Medical Center is pleased to welcome Teresa Woodside, APRN to the Department of Family Medicine.  Prior to joining the Medical Center, Teresa was a staff RN in the Emergency Room at Lowell General Hospital in Lowell, Massachusetts. She has six years of nursing experience caring for patients of all ages in various settings.

Ms. Woodside completed the Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner program at Frontier Nursing University in Hyden, Kentucky and has an Associates Degree in Nursing from University of New England in Portland, Maine. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Behavior from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

At Cheshire, each Family Medicine patient is assigned a primary care provider who leads the team in caring for him or her. This provider may be a physician or a nurse practitioner. In Cheshire’s Medical Home team-based care model, several highly specialized providers and healthcare professionals work together to provide the right level of care for each patient. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Teresa Woodside provides primary care to individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on preventive medicine and comprehensive patient care. Ms. Woodside guides patients to maintain wellness by focusing on preventive treatments, and helps those with chronic conditions to understand and manage their illnesses and reduce symptoms.
