Amy Matthews Appointed Sr. Director of Patient Care Services at CMC/DHK

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK) has appointed Amy Matthews, MS, RN, CEN, CHEP, as Senior Director of Patient Care Services at CMC/DHK. Among the multitude of responsibilities associated with her new role, Ms. Matthews will be assisting the Senior Vice President, Patient Care Services (CNO) in the development and implementation of the Patient Care Services strategic plans, and in collaboration with the CNO, physicians and other CMC/DHK leaders will evaluate patient service, quality of care, and working environment at CMC/DHK.

Ms. Matthews has been with CMC/DHK since 2000. Prior to this new position she was Director of Critical Care and Emergency Services where she demonstrated her management and leadership skills overseeing the Administrative Clinical Supervisors, the ICU/Telemetry Unit, and the Emergency Department, maintaining a consistent focus on high quality patient care, privacy, and comfort across the diverse range of Emergency Department services.

Ms. Matthews is a graduate of New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in Boston, Massachusetts and Excelsior College in Albany, New York. She has worked in hospitals across the country. She is a participant in the AONE Nurse Manager Fellowship program, and a member of the Emergency Nurses Association. Her list of accolades includes the Cheshire Medical Center Leadership Award, the Iola Hubbard Award, and the American Red Cross: Volunteer of the Year Award, for service as health and safety coordinator, instructor, and local board member.
