The Walking Path Fund

The third Phase of the Walking Path is a campaign to raise $45 thousand to construct a scenic walkway around the campus of Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene.

The nature path will follow a forest behind a wooded area of the hospital offering a beautiful, tranquil retreat for patients, visitors, and staff. Phase II, which 230 donors contributed to raise $30,000 to build, borders the Ashuelot River and features five benches and a bridge generously donated by a local family. During hospitalization, patients and families experience some of the happiest and saddest moments of their lives. The walking path offers patients and visitors a place where they can gather strength, balance, and clarity. On the path, people can watch the sun reflect off the river, listen to the call of birds, and connect to each other. Your gift is needed to help us finish the path to better health and healing.

You may give at any level. Many commemorative naming opportunities are available on Phase III. Tribute opportunities exist for naming stairwells, bridges, benches, and path markers after those you most cherish. Please contact us if you are interested in a commemorative opportunity.

We thank and acknowledge those who have given thus far to the campaign. You may donate online or download a pledge card (PDF) and send it in today. We are counting on your help so that we can construct the final phase of our campus walking path.
