Donor Stories from 2012 Annual Report

Clay and Ellie Stalker

We feel fortunate to have been able to work our entire lives in careers that care for people in our community. It is meaningful to us to be able to serve in this capacity and to support Cheshire Medical Center for so many years.

-Ellie Stalker, RN, CMC Post Anesthesia Care Unit, and Clay Stalker, CMC/DHK Security

50 years of combined service.

Mary Jane Doody

I was spending so much time at the Kingsbury Pavilion with my mother, so I thought 'Why not get involved?' It is out of the goodness of my staff's hearts that they want to participate (in Bald is Beautiful). It's only one day out of our time to see so many people happy, and hear so many stories that make you cry. I have this business, so I give back to Cheshire Medical Center through
it.

Joyce Samsel and Joan Meltzer

It didn't take us long to decide to designate gifts to the Kingsbury Pavilion in memory of our mother. She loved everybody there! Dr. Winslow was so very special to our family and treated Mom with the dignity and respect she deserved. Cheshire Medical Center was a part of our family for many years, and made the last days for both Mom and Dad much easier on our family, and we are very thankful.

Martha Curtis

As a community bank, we consider Cheshire Medical Center an amazing community resource! We like supporting events that bring awareness to what patients go through during treatment, and motivate people to participate and raise funds to help patients directly.

Roger and Nancy Hansen

The concept of coordinated multi-disciplinary medical practices has characterized the Cheshire Medical Center culture. As a medical professional, my colleagues and I learned that this has been a good way to deliver medical care, and is a positive attribute in improving health care in the years to come. As community members, Nancy and I feel secure and well cared for relative to our needs and the needs of our family at CMC.
