Bald is Beautiful

Bald is Beautiful is an event that raises funds for the Norris Cotton Cancer Center Kingsbury Pavilion, located at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene, our local nonprofit cancer center in Keene, NH. All proceeds go to our patient relief and cancer care funds. Participants commit to shaving their head (or not, see options below) and gather donations from sponsors.

Everyone is welcome to be a participant. Register online and follow simple steps to create your own Bald is Beautiful page. Set your fundraising goal, and through text or video share why you are choosing to shave your head to support the care and treatment of cancer patients. Use the email tool to seek sponsorships from your colleagues, family, and friends. Link your page to send automatic status updates about your progress to your Facebook and Twitter accounts.

YOU DO NOT NEED TO SHAVE YOUR HEAD TO RAISE MONEY FOR THIS EVENT:

  • If a participant has 10 or more inches of hair, it can be donated to Locks of Love. This can be done instead of, or in addition to, shaving your head.
  • A team of individuals can join forces. One team member must agree to have their head shaved.
  • Create your page in memory of a loved one. Shaving your head can be a courageous way to raise awareness. However sharing your personal experiences and memories is an equally powerful way to raise support for patients in treatment.
