Winchester School Musical April 9th
Submitted by School Champion, Winchester School

The Winchester School Musical is coming up on Wednesday, April 9 starting at 6 pm.  The 7th grade show is called The Battle of Sherman and Servi.  It's shaping up to be a great play on bullying featuring the least popular kid, Sherman Wilfred Gates trying trying to use his new "Smartie-Phone" to make friends. However, only the phone proves more popular than Sherman causing him to vow revenge!  Will this high-tech-wizard-turned-bully realize the error of his ways before losing out on his real friends?  Find out April 9th!.

Attention community members & Champions!  Looking for a community member to speak to our audience about a related topic whether it be bullying, abuse, or some support system for parents or our community.  Contact Steve Piscitello if you are interested or for more information!

Green Up Keene Event April 12th
Submitted by Organizational Champion, City of Keene

We’re in the beginning stages of planning for this year’s Green Up Keene trash pickup event.  This year’s event will be held on Saturday, April 12 with many participating businesses and volunteer groups going out during the week leading up to the event or on Sunday the 13th.

Something new this year is a City of Keene “Building a Spirit of Place” initiative which dovetails nicely with Green Up Keene (see link). A number of Keene State College groups have already adopted streets in Keene through the building a Spirit of Place Program that they now cleanup at least four times per year, including for Green Up Keene.  Other groups are welcome to join this effort.

We are hoping that your and your organization or group are once again interested in helping us out.  Please go the City Website Sustainability page to see an updated map or click on this link

Please take a look at the map and let me know what streets or areas your group would like to adopt for this year.  We will do our best to accommodate you with your area of choice and we can have overlap , especially for high trash volume areas.  If you are looking for an area that is in need, please see the list at the end of this email.  Also, especially if you are willing to climb down into the ditches, the bike path can always use a large contingent of volunteers.  We will update the map as we receive responses.   Please respond to both Mike August and to me.

Click here to view last year’s map of adopted sites for comparison.
