Join Cheshire Walkers for Wednesday Morning Walks

Submitted by Organizational Champion, Cheshire Medical Center Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene

Cheshire WalkersWalking is one of the easiest forms of exercise as it requires nothing but a good pair of shoes. Not to mention, it is widely recommended for its many health benefits, such as: managing your weight, controlling your blood pressure, boosting "good cholesterol," lowering your chances for developing diseases like diabetes, cancer and osteoporosis, improving your sleep, combating depression and much more. And it's fun!

Join Cheshire Walkers on one of our weekly Spring, Wednesday morning walks or hikes in the Monadnock region - no need to sign up - just come! The Cheshire Walkers, a walking group sponsored by Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene, and the Keene Recreation Center, have been organizing Wednesday morning walks for many years, and want you to join in the fun!  Join the Cheshire Walkers for a series of afternoon walks this Spring.  Starting on Wednesday, April 9th, help us kick off the spring season by joining us on a fast paced walk around Swanzey Lake!  On Wednesday April 16th, travel with us through the old ruins of late Madame Sherri’s Castle in Chesterfield and venture around Indian Pond. For more information on these walks, to join our mailing list or to join our planning committee, call the Cheshire Walkers Coordinator at 354-5454, x2322.
