Good News for Senior Passport Holders
Submitted by Champion, Fred Girard
On March 1st the Senior Passport Nutrition Program at Cheshire Medical Center Dartmouth Hitchcock Keene will be changing. This is good news as the changes will resolve many long-standing requests we’ve had for program enhancements.
Currently the program is a “fixed meal for a fixed price” program that allows little flexibility for substitutions and little ability for seniors to customize their meals to best fit their nutritional needs.
What we will begin offering on March 1st is a 25% discount on almost everything we sell, no limitations on number of portions, sizes, or types of foods and drink.
Only a handful of products will be excluded as the discount on these would result in a loss to us. These are: Organic Granola Bars, Clif Bars, Naked Juices, and K-Cups. All other products we sell can be purchased at the 25% senior discount.
Meals are available Monday through Friday, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays and Sundays, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Seniors can access the Senior Passport Menu Line at (603) 354-5454 x6368.The automated hot food menu is updated weekly by 10:30 a.m. Passports are also available at the Information Desk in the Cheshire Medical Center lobby.
