Do YOU Need a Diabetes Wake-Up Call?

Submitted by Champion, Patti Schumandiabetes alert day

American Diabetes Association Alert Day® is a one-day "wake-up call” asking Americans to take the Diabetes Risk Test to find out if they are at risk for developing type 2 diabetes. This day is held on the fourth Tuesday of every March, making this year’s wake up call on March 26, 2013. Have you had your diabetes wake-up call yet?

The Diabetes Risk Test asks users to answer simple questions about weight, age, family history and other potential risk factors for prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. Preventative tips are provided for everyone who takes the test, including encouraging those at high risk to talk with their health care provider.

Are you at risk? Take the diabetes risk test TODAY and be well on your way to a healthier 2013!

Have diabetes and interested in serving as a patient representative on an advisory group? It is one lunch meeting a year. For more information or if you are interested in joining this board, please contact Champion, Patti Schuman at (603) 354-5400.
