Food is Essential to all of us

We have heard of health hazards in the existing food chain and about the relative merits of local food, so it makes sense to think further together about how to limit the former and increase the latter. How can we manage that?
Responding to the Call of the Land – Building a Community Supported Food System, an event on September 14th in Keene and September 15th in Peterborough, is designed to address these issues with nationally known speakers and knowledgeable local people currently involved in our regional food system.
Two Presentations:
Friday, Sept. 14th – Stonewall Farm, 242 Chesterfield Road, Keene
2:00 – 5:00pm Presentation, Discussion, & Conversation
5:30 – 6:30pm Buffet Supper
6:30 – 8:45pm Public Presentation & Discussion
Saturday, Sept. 15th – Peterborough Historical Society, 19 Grove St., Peterborough
9:30am – 12:00pm Presentation & Discussion
12:00 – 1:00pm Buffet Lunch
1:00 – 4:00pm Presentations, Discussion, Conversation
There is a $20 charge per person to cover some of the cost of food & expenses, but those who want to attend, particularly farmers and young people, are welcome to come for whatever amount they can afford.
