About the Department of Pharmacy
Departmental integration
Our Pharmacists collaborate with other allied health disciplines to provide pharmaceutical care to patients. Pharmacy services are provided to all patient care units. Major groups of staff with which we collaborate include: medical and dental staffs, nursing staff, respiratory care staff, and clinical dieticians. In addition, our Pharmacy Services staff collaborates with many other hospital staff to expedite care delivery.
Standards of practice
Pharmacy Services follows standards of practice as identified by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists, Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, American Pharmaceutical Association, and the New Hampshire Board of Pharmacy.
Uniform level of care
All pharmacists must be graduates of an accredited college of pharmacy and meet all requirements identified in the New Hampshire Pharmacy Practice Act.
