Insurance Information
We suggest, however, that all patients carefully review their health insurance coverage prior to receiving services, particularly when major procedures or other treatment plans may result in out of pocket expense. Patients who receive insurance through a managed care plan should carefully review their coverage, as many services are not provided by their primary care provider (PCP) will require a written referral from the PCP. It is the responsibility of each patient to abide by the terms of his/her insurance policy, including obtaining referral(s) and/or preauthorization for any and all applicable services received. Dartmouth Hitchcock personnel will not know the exact terms of each patient's policy.
If you are unsure of the exact terms of your coverage, you are encouraged to call the member services department of your insurer.
