Dining Services

The goal of our meal services is to help make Keene the healthiest community in America by providing outstanding food and nutrition services directly to patients and their families and also to support all others at CMC/D-HK who provide patient care.

Patient Meal Services

Patient meals at Cheshire Medical Center are prepared using a Room Service type of meal delivery. Room Service is an innovative method of serving patient meals during your hospital stay that gives patients more control over what foods they eat and when they wish to take their meals.

Patients select foods from a restaurant style menu and then call the kitchen between 7am and 630pm. Our friendly and well-trained staff will assist with meal orders. Meals are then delivered to the bedside within 45 minutes for a highly satisfying meal experience.

Guests and Visitors

Guest meals may also be ordered using Room Service for a charge of $7. A guest tray voucher must be purchased from the cafeteria prior to ordering a guest meal. Cash, check, and credit cards are accepted.

Dietitian Services

With a 24-hour notice, Clinical Dietitians will provide nutritional consultations to answer patients' diet-related questions.

People with specific dietary goals such as diabetes management, weight-loss, sports nutrition and disease-state nutrition therapy should consult their physician. Your physician can give you a referral for the services of our outpatient Dietitian, Patti Schuman, or you may call (603) 354-6752 directly for an appointment.

Dining Room

Our Dining Room, The Center Court Cafe, can be reached from the lower-level of the Central Building (Lobby) elevators or from the basement-level of the South Building (hospital) elevators.
We’re open daily to all visitors and staff from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

We offer a cafeteria-style food court with full hot breakfast bar, homemade soups, freshly-made deli sandwich station, pizza and pasta station, grille and broiler for hot sandwiches, tempting salad bar, home-style hot entrees, daily specials, and a variety of snacks, desserts and beverages for all tastes.

We offer cook-to-order fresh omelets Monday - Friday. Every Wednesday we offer demonstration cooking at lunch, serving gourmet delights from many cuisines.

A comfortable dining room and outdoor seating is available.

Cash and checks are currently accepted. An ATM is located in the main lobby.

Supporting Local Farms and Food

Cheshire Medical Center is a proud supporter of local agriculture, supporter local food providers, and the "Buy Local" initiative. We use local farmers and purveyors whenever it makes sense. Food and Nutrition Services offers local produce, seafood, meat, yogurt, bread and bagels, dairy, baked pastry, and fresh eggs. Click here for more information and a list of farmers and purveyors. Nutrition Resources

USDA Dietary Guidelines for Americans
These guidelines provide science-based advice to promote health and to reduce risk for major chronic diseases through diet and physical activity.

Two examples of eating patterns that exemplify the Dietary Guidelines are the USDA Guide and the DASH (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension) Eating Plan. Each eating pattern is designed to integrate dietary recommendations into a healthy way to eat for most individuals.
