EMS Champions: Anytime. Anywhere.

Help us recognize EMS Week (May 16-22). Twenty-four different EMS services provide highly skilled out-of-hospital emergency care in this community, bringing care to those who need it most. EMS works hand-in-hand with Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene to care for patients from pre-hospital through discharge. EMTs and paramedics are at the forefront of every medical emergency: automobile accidents, heart attacks, slips and falls, childbirth, or gunshot wounds. Their work is physically strenuous, stressful, and involves human suffering and life-or-death crises. Nonetheless, with pride, skill, and compassion—24 hours a day, 365 days a year—EMS is at home and work, indoors and out, in all types of weather.
