No Smoking SignThe mission of the Cheshire Coalition for Tobacco-Free Communities is to work with youth and communities to create a tobacco-free environment.

The Coalition’s goals are:

  • To prevent the initiation of tobacco use among young people;
  • To promote quitting among adults and young people;
  • And to eliminate exposure to secondhand smoke

The Coalition addresses its mission and goals through a number of initiatives, including school-based and community health and prevention education, adult and teen tobacco cessation programs, vendor compliance checks, Smokeless Saturday court diversion program, local and state policy efforts, and alternative tobacco-free activities for youth.

The Coalition meets on the second Tuesday of each month at Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene in North Conference Room #3 from 3:30pm until 5:00pm. All are welcome.

For more information about the Coalition or to become a Coalition member, please call Kate McNally at (603) 354-5454, ext. 2306.
