 The Volunteer Services Department provides support to departments throughout the Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene. It is our goal to be of assistance with many varied tasks and to match the volunteer's interests with the department's needs.
The Volunteer Services Department offers assistance with office work, mail delivery, flower delivery, Doula services, data entry, patient advocacy, and many other tasks.
The Volunteer Department oversees the Lost and Found, foreign language translators and the book cart.
There are more than 225 volunteers who provide dedicated and reliable hard work to departments. Volunteers are an integral part of the inner workings of the hospital and are wonderful ambassadors for our campus.

They bring a wealth of experience to their volunteer responsibilities. They bring their stories, their knowledge and their uniqueness. But they all have one thing in common - the desire to help others. As one volunteer says, "I may be helping others, but I get back more than I give."
How can I find out more?
 Who can be a volunteer? If you are at least 13 years old and desire to work in the healthcare setting, you can apply. Volunteers are required to fill out application and medical reference forms and attend our orientation program. Please call or email the Director of Volunteer Services for more information.
