North American Council on Adoptable Children

International (US/Canada). Founded 1974. Focuses on special needs adoption. Provides referrals and maintains current listing of adoptive parent support groups which conduct a wide range of activities. Helps new groups get started, sponsors an annual adoption conference which features workshops for adoptive parents, prospective parents, foster parents, child welfare professionals and other child advocates.
