Welcome Family Medicine Provider Dr. Barbara Bates

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK) is pleased to welcome Barbara Bates, MD to our Department of Family Medicine. Dr. Bates worked for 19 years as a family physician in Milwaukee, WI and is excited to be returning to New England. She looks forward to continuing her interest in community health and wellness promotion for all ages.
Dr. Bates is a Board Certified Family Physician by The American Board of Family Medicine and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. She completed her Residency at Columbia Family Practice, Medical College of Wisconsin, in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Bates holds a Doctor of Medicine degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Vermont-Burlington in Burlington, VT.
As a Family Physician, Dr. Bates provides primary care by guiding individuals to maintain wellness in focusing on preventive treatments, and helps those with chronic conditions understand and manage their illnesses to reduce symptoms. At CMC/DHK, Dr. Bates practices in a team environment known as a Medical Home, empowering patients to actively participate in their health and well-being. The Medical Home Team integrates all aspects of preventive, acute, and chronic care, offering patients comfort, convenience, and optimal health throughout their lives.
