498 Participate in Sports Medicine 5K Run/Walk & Kids' Fun Run

Speedwalker Jodi Clark posted the best time for the walkers, at 33:08.

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene's Sport Medicine program hosted its 6th Annual 5K Run/Walk & Kids' Fun Run on Saturday, April 6, 2013. Children from one to ten years old enjoyed the first race with the Kids' Fun Run and received gold medals for their efforts. The walkers began next at 9:30 am and included novice, 'first time 5Kers' through experienced speed walkers. Elite, experienced, and novice runners, including area athletes, rounded out the event for the 10:30 am Run. A total of 498 participants, including over 60 Vision 2020 Champions, were a part of this inspiring event. Race day results and photos can be viewed at CheshireSportsMedicine5K.Kintera.org.

Over $13,000 was raised for Sports Medicine services to the community, including up-to-date rehabilitation equipment, local sports medical coverage, team physician coverage at sporting events, and local Sports Medicine education.
