Presidents' Service Excellence Award
Timothy "Tim" LaBounty, Transporter, Environmental Services
In his role in Distribution and Transport, Tim LaBounty assists staff members with a multitude of program needs for meetings and web conferences in our facility. His manner and knowledge have made him the "go-to guy" for transport and setup of equipment and troubleshooting unexpected audio/visual difficulties. Tim responds quickly to requests with a friendly and helpful attitude. He provides exemplary service, checking in on meetings a few minutes prior to start time to ensure everything is set up and working as needed. Tim also has a per diem role in Patient Care Services, always showing kindness and consideration to the patients. Tim role models great customer service and initiative.
Christine "Chris" Scheffler, Patient Relations Representative, Division Administration
Chris Scheffler demonstrates service excellence through her empathy to patient and family concerns and her support of staff members throughout the organization. She is cheerful, fair and always willing to help make things right, and draws on her many years of experience to choose the most appropriate resources to achieve resolutions quickly and effectively. Staff members look to Chris as a role model for service recovery and service improvement. As she communicates with patients, families and staff members to help resolve concerns, Chris maintains an upbeat, "can do" demeanor. We are fortunate to have a dedicated Patient Relations Representative such as Chris.
Kathleen "Kate" McNally, Program Coordinator, Cheshire Coalition for
Tobacco Free Communities
Kate McNally works on the front lines in our community, promoting healthy lifestyle choices with tireless effort and dedication to her work through the Cheshire Coalition for Tobacco Free Communities. Her work has affected policy decisions both in our facility and in our community and changed the culture of how people view the use of tobacco and address the barriers surrounding cessation of tobacco use. Through age-appropriate educational programs, her work engages children, adolescents and young adults in ways that are meaningful to them, promoting healthy habits at an early age. As a resource to our medical staff members, Kate counsels patients and their families through the smoking cessation journey. Her compassion and responsiveness is apparent to all who benefit from her assistance and the results achieved.
Congratulations to these deserving staff members for their dedication to our patients and community.
