Keene Hospital Board Member Appointed to the AHA Regional Policy Board
October 10, 2012
Cheshire Medical Center (CMC) announces the appointment of Mary Louise Caffrey, Secretary of the Cheshire Medical Center/Cheshire Health Foundation Board, as Regional Trustee Liaison to the American Hospital Association's (AHA) Regional Policy Board One (RPB One) beginning January 1, 2013.
The American Hospital Association (AHA) has nine Regional Policy Boards (RPBs), which meet three times a year to foster communication between the AHA, its members and state hospital associations. The RPBs provide input on public policy issues considered by the AHA Board of Trustees, serve as ad hoc policy development committees when appropriate, and identify needs unique to a region and assist in developing programs to meet those needs. RPB One has 30 members and includes the states of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. The regional executives are the AHA's local link to its members and the state, regional, and metropolitan associations.
As a member of the Cheshire Medical Center/Cheshire Health Foundation Board, Mary Louise Caffrey works with other trustees overseeing the 169-bed nonprofit Keene hospital as well as its philanthropic arm, the Cheshire Health Foundation.
Mary Louise Caffrey has been a member of the New Hampshire Bar since 1978.
