CMC/DHK's First Annual Golf Tournament Raises $30,000 for Vision 2020 Champions Program

October 02, 2012
Keene, NH

Nothing could beat the perfect weather on Wednesday, September 12th for the first annual Cheshire Health Foundation Golf Tournament and it is our pleasure to announce our total funds raised - $30,000 for the Vision 2020 Champions Program.

A sold-out field of 128 golfers spent a flawless autumn day at the Keene County Club swinging clubs, reacquainting with colleagues and friends, and taking their chances to win contests on the greens and fairways. Over 100 sponsor and donors supported the effort with financial and in-kind donations.

Funds will be used to support the Vision 2020 Champions Program - an initiative to recruit, support and motivate individuals throughout Cheshire County through community health education to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors using a positive, inclusive, fun and non-judgmental approach. These efforts support a community engagement program, Vision 2020, launched by CMC/DHK in 2006, to foster and sustain a positive culture of health throughout the 23 towns of Cheshire County, NH. The bold goal of Vision 2020 is to become the nation's healthiest community by the year 2020.

The 2013 Cheshire Health Foundation Golf Tournament is scheduled for September 11, 2013.

The Cheshire Health Foundation is a 501(c)3 charitable organization supporting Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene, the community's nonprofit hospital and clinic.
