CMC/DHK Welcomes Amanda Hepler, MD to the Department of Family Medicine.

As a Family Physician, Dr. Amanda Hepler provides primary care to individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on preventive medicine. She guides patients to maintain wellness by focusing on preventive treatments, and helps those with chronic conditions understand and manage their illnesses to reduce symptoms.
Prior to joining CMC/DHK, Dr. Hepler was a solitary physician in a rural medical practice in Rangeley, ME, providing primary care for patients of all ages with a wide variety of health issues including emergency care. She also made home visits to care for elderly and disabled patients. At Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK), Dr. Hepler practices in a team environment known as a Medical Home, empowering patients to actively participate in their health and well-being. The Medical Home Team integrates all aspects of preventive, acute, and chronic care, offering patients comfort, convenience, and optimal health throughout their lives. Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene implemented the Medical Home model as a component of the healthiest community initiative, to help prevent and manage chronic conditions.
Dr. Hepler completed her Residency as Chief Resident at Latrobe Family Medicine, Latrobe, PA. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA and holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from Grove City College, Grove City, PA.
Active in her community, Dr. Hepler made healthcare presentations for the Rangeley Region Health and Wellness Pavilion and offered health screening services with The Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County, Franklin Community Health Network. She also participated in medical missions to Kenya, Africa. Professional memberships include the National Health Service Corps as an Ambassador, the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Physicians.
