New Pediatric Department Walk-In Clinic Pilot Program Starting 9/4
August 27, 2012
Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene's Pediatric and Adolescent Department is pleased to announce a new Walk-In Clinic pilot program for established patients of Pediatrics and Family Medicine.
Beginning, Tuesday, September 4th from 8:30 - 10 am, patients are invited to register as a 'Pediatrics Walk-In Visit' in the lobby or West Entrance at our Court Street campus and visit the walk-in clinic within the Pediatric Department without a scheduled appointment. The Pediatric Walk-In Clinic will serve patients on a first come, first serve basis and welcomes the opportunity to provide care for children with new and non-severe symptoms, such as: common cough or cold, rash, ear pain, minor injuries, sore throat, etc. This program will be available Monday through Friday from 8:30 - 10 am throughout the fall of 2012 and winter of 2013 and may change in the future based on determined need. Due to the flexible and open schedule of the Pediatric Walk-In Clinic, wait times will vary based on the number of patients needing to be seen on a given morning.
It is important to note that not all visits are appropriate for the walk-in schedule. Parents are encouraged to schedule an appointment for children with ongoing symptoms, such as headache, abdominal pain, breathing issues, anxiety, or if the child is a new patient or has special health care needs.
