Internist Alexandra Van Dyck, MD Joins Family Medicine

Dr. Van Dyck brings extensive experience in Internal Medicine to the Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene team. While attending medical school and completing her internship and residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, Dr. Van Dyck distinguished herself as a top medical student, intern and resident. She served a summer sub-internship at Kabale Hospital, Uganda, Africa; studied medicine for a summer at Suddie Hospital, Guyana; and worked as a clinical assistant for one year at Clinique Sidibe, Guinea, Africa.

Board Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Van Dyck also completed a practicum in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction for wellness and health at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness, Amherst, MA. She earned her Doctorate of Medicine at Ross University School of Medicine, Commonwealth of Dominica, West Indies. Dr. Van Dyck holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from Smith College, Northampton, MA, and studied abroad in Kenya through Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, MI. Prior to attending medical school, she volunteered with the United States Peace Corps in Guinea with particular focus on improving education and health for Guinean girls.

At Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene, Dr. Van Dyck works with other medical practitioners and staff members providing care on a Medical Home Team, helping patients become active participants in their health and well-being. The Medical Home Team integrates all aspects of a person's preventive, acute, and chronic care, offering patients comfort, convenience, and optimal health throughout their lifetimes. CMC/DHK implemented this Medical Home model as a component of the healthiest community initiative in order to help prevent and manage chronic conditions.
