Cheshire Medical Center is pleased to welcome Carol Huntley-Smith, APRN to the Department of Family Medicine.  She has been working at Cheshire Medical Center in Medical Oncology since 2005. In 2015, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Texas and continued on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing as an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner at Walden University.

At Cheshire, each Family Medicine patient is assigned a primary care provider who leads their care team. This provider may be a physician or a nurse practitioner. In Cheshire’s Medical Home team-based care model, several highly specialized providers and healthcare professionals work together to provide the right level of care for each patient. As an Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, Carol Huntley-Smith provides primary care to individuals 13 and up, with an emphasis on preventive medicine and comprehensive patient care. Ms. Huntley-Smith guides patients to maintain wellness by focusing on preventive treatments, and helps those with chronic conditions to understand and manage their illnesses and reduce symptoms.
