Michael Mitchell-Beam, APRN Joins Family Medicine at Cheshire Medical Center

Cheshire Medical Center is pleased to welcome Michael Mitchell-Beam, APRN to the Department of Family Medicine.  Prior to joining the Medical Center, Michael was a Family Nurse Practitioner at Keady Family Practice which provides primary care services in Charlestown, Claremont, and Newport, New Hampshire.

Mr. Mitchell-Beam completed a Master of Science in Nursing at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in Worcester, Massachusetts and has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from University of Phoenix. He also holds an Associate of Science in Nursing from Southern Vermont College in Bennington, Vermont.

At Cheshire, each Family Medicine patient is assigned a primary care provider who leads the team in caring for him or her. This provider may be a physician or a nurse practitioner. In Cheshire’s Medical Home team-based care model, several highly specialized providers and healthcare professionals work together to provide the right level of care for each patient. As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Mr. Mitchell-Beam provides primary care to individuals of all ages, with an emphasis on preventive medicine and comprehensive patient care. He guides patients to maintain wellness by focusing on preventive treatments, and helps those with chronic conditions to understand and manage their illnesses and reduce symptoms.
