Annual Employee and Team Awards Presented by CMC/DHK

Cheshire Medical Center/Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene (CMC/DHK) recently presented the 2016 Annual President’s Service Excellence and Chairman’s Awards.

The President’s Service Excellence Award is presented for extraordinary service characterized by compassion, responsiveness to the needs of others and a positive, team-oriented attitude. The recipients of the annual President’s Service Excellence Award were: Deb Lukan, Biomedical Equipment Technician, Clinical Engineering for consistently delivering exceptional customer service, allowing our clinical staff to better provide for the needs and safety of our patients; and Stephanie Merchant, CMA, Medical Assistant, Family Medicine for her positive, passionate, and energetic approach to caring for our community.

The Chairman’s Award recognizes teams who work to continuously improve the quality of CMC/DHK’s health services. Over the years, the Chairman’s Award has been presented to a number of deserving groups that improved operations or patient safety.  Two CMC/DHK teams received the 2016 award.

 

The Baby-Friendly Hospital Initiative Team consisting of Elaine Prescott-Austin, Gail Hayes, Carmen Carignan, Emily Nichols, Marilyn Buck, Heidi Rinehart, Marnie Silverstein, JoAnn Hertford, Jessica Payton, Kristen Lippincott, Joy Lippincott, Rebecca Pratt, Linda Hakala, Becky Cleveland, Whitney Lawton-Linnenbringer, Amy Nelson, Colleen Barry, Mindy Glasschroeder, and former member Margaret Bruce received the Chairman’s Award for achieving CMC/DHKs official designation as a Baby-Friendly Hospital on December 4, 2015. The objective of this work is that all mothers gain the information, confidence, and skills necessary to successfully initiate and continue breastfeeding their babies or feeding formula safely.

The Patient Experience Team, which includes Colleen Barry, Tracy Beam, Jennifer Begley, Jeff Bergeron, Karen Bradley, Sally Bulger, Bruce Chamberlin, Christina Deturris, Jackie Ethier, Kim Farris, Beth Forcier, Tiffany French, Mindy Glasschroeder, Krystal Hale, Karen Johnson, Kristen Lippincott, Amy Matthews, Katherine McLaughlin, Jen Michelson, Kathleen North, Sandie Phipps, Rebecca Pratt, Amoriel Robinson, Christine Scheffler, Terri Skantze, Marcy Southgate, Laurie Taylor, Lindsay Timpson, Joshua Toll, Dawn Welshman, Christy Whitney, David Williams, and CMC/DHK volunteer Lee Johnson, developed a campus-wide campaign in 2016 to enhance service excellence, collaboration, and compassion for every patient, every time. The team launched the “I Care, We Care” branding, created and delivered a Leadership training program, began Patient Experience education for all new employees, and launched a system-wide Patient Experience Week celebration.
